Vacation and Sick Days

Employees are eligible to receive PTO if they are a regular status employee scheduled to work at least 40 hours per week. PTO is calculated per anniversary date as follows: Full-time employees working 260 days a year (including holidays) will accrue a minimum of 120 hours per year and earned at the estimated rate of 10 hours a month. After 1 full anniversary year, employees shall be entitled to an additional 8 hours per year, every year, for a maximum of 200 hours. The PTO balance may not exceed 280 hours at any given time (this will include rollover). Employees whose PTO balances exceed the 280-hour limit will forfeit all hours in excess of this limit.

A maximum of 120 hours of PTO can be carried over to the following year. Thus, the 1st pay period of each year (1-15 January) will be used to determine employee leave balance carry over. Any hours in excess of 120 hours will be forfeited by the employee.
