Systems Engineer - DoDAF Suffolk, VA
In this role as a Systems Engineer you will:
- Collaborate with other members of the team to provide technical support to various government agencies.
- Assist in the development and modeling of project-level DoDAF products in ProVision.
- Conduct assessments of technical and program management documentation associated with acquisitions and operations of various systems.
- Understand the relationships and interdependencies between organizational domains and stakeholders.
Requirements:
BS degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or related with 5+ years experience. Proficiency with Visio and PowerPoint and DoDAF is required.
Enterprise Architect - DoDAF Suffolk, VA
SimIS is seeking an Enterprise Architect with 8+ years experience and proficiency in ProVision to join our engineering team.
In this role you will work in an integrated team environment to develop and maintain Project-Level Architecture Development activities. You will also develop, analyze, and evaluate technical and program management documentation related to changes in system architecture.
Enterprise Architect position requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, engineering, math or similar with 8+ years of related engineering experience and proficiency with PowerPoint, Visio, ProVision and DoDAF.
Senior Linux System Administrator
Become part of a modeling and simulation leading edge technology company, SimIS Inc. Support JFCOM JCD&E M&S Team as the lead Linux administrator. Support over 300 Linux servers running RHEL5 running different M&S models, MySQL, and additional control programs to automate large runs of model software and data collection tools.
Major duties are to lead Linux system administration for over 300 Linux servers running RHEL5. Keep servers and workstations up-to-date and in compliance with DoD security updates, operating system updates and software required to run modeling and simulation software to include JSAF. Test new security and operating system updates. Test new software. Maintain master image for all servers and workstations. Manage clonezilla cloning server and develop scripts to automate the pushing out of additional images. Minor duties include supporting experimentation events, testing of new software, developing scripts to migrate and sync data between servers, racking and configuring new hardware and software.
